The Asian Football Confederation announced that the Asian Cup, which was due to be held in early 2027 in Saudi Arabia, has been postponed to December next year following the latest attacks in the country.

The organizing committee of these competitions announced that the date of the competitions was changed "due to the current exceptional conditions caused by developments in the region, including significant logistical complications and travel disruptions".
