The Indian Navy rescued the Iranian fishing vessel and its crew from pirates.

The Indian Navy has announced that its commandos have rescued an Iranian fishing vessel hijacked by armed militant pirates off the coast of Somalia along with 20 of its crew members.

According to the report of the European Union Maritime Security Center in the Indian Ocean, the ship, named "Azini", was hijacked off the coast of Somalia last week.

The Indian Navy said in a statement that there is a fear that pirates will use this ship as a "mother ship" to carry out further attacks on commercial ships.

In this message it was stated that a warship and a naval patrol plane chased and observed the vessel and then naval commandos landed on it with parachutes to carry out the rescue operation.
