After the end of the local ceasefire, today Russia renewed its attacks on Kherson in southern Ukraine. This unprecedented break was brokered by Melania Trump, the first lady of the United States, and ended yesterday.
Yaroslav Shenko, the head of the military government in Kherson, said that a Russian drone hit a "medical center" in the center of the city this morning.
The city authorities announced that another drone then targeted the suburbs of Kherson, where a 62-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man were injured.
Kiev says the ceasefire that ended with Russia's ground attack today was the longest lull in the war between the two countries since 2022.
The ceasefire made it possible to carry out a humanitarian mission in the Russian-occupied city of Ulshki, and hundreds of trapped civilians left that area.
