🔻 Low-cost airline Ryanair Ireland announced on Monday that its net profit fell by six percent in the second quarter of the company's financial year. Ryanair named the rise in fuel costs due to the Middle East war as one of the reasons for its profit decline.

The Irish company says its profit after tax reached 1.61 billion euros ($1.8 billion) in the three months to the end of September. This figure was one billion and 720 million euros in the corresponding period last year.

Ryanair, which is the largest airline in Europe in terms of the number of passengers and flies mainly on routes within this continent, said that the cost of fuel, which was not provided through advance purchase contracts, increased greatly following the war between America and Iran.
