Iran says an oil tanker caught fire after hitting a mine near the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iranian Navy announced that an oil tanker caught fire on Saturday while passing through an area described as "forbidden", east of the Strait of Hormuz, after hitting naval mines.
Iran has escalated shipping restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz and seeks to control the movement of vessels and their transit conditions.
Iran has also said that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until Iran's conditions are met.
