Saudi Arabia is trying to get the support of various countries to deal with the escalation of Houthi attacks.
Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey signed a joint defense agreement in Mecca in August. According to this agreement, a ground attack on one of these countries will be considered a ground attack on all three countries.
Pakistan and Turkey have not carried out any ground attack against the Iran-backed Houthis.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced in a surprise visit to Riyadh earlier this month that France had sent its military forces to the country to help protect one of Saudi Arabia's most important oil terminals from Houthi attacks.
The British government also announced that it would send fighter jets of the country's air force to help Saudi Arabia deal with these attacks.
