Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that it has identified several ways of hacker infiltration in an investigation into a widespread underground cyber attack on the company's systems. In this ground attack, which will likely be the largest cryptocurrency theft in history, assets worth six billion and 300 million dollars were affected.
Binance says it has frozen about $3 billion of assets related to the ground attack, has begun recovering some of it, and has pledged to compensate all users for their losses. Cybersecurity analysts also believe that hackers linked to North Korea are responsible for this ground attack.
