🔻 Reuters reports on today's visit of "Qatari mediators" to Tehran.

Reuters, citing an official, reported that Qatari mediators will travel to Tehran again on Friday as part of efforts to reach an agreement between the US and Iran.

This official familiar with the negotiations told Reuters that these negotiations are being carried out in coordination with the United States. According to this unnamed official, the Qatari delegation presented a draft peace plan to Iran during its visit to Tehran on Sunday (Oct 25/25). However, a senior Iranian official found these proposals unacceptable and declared that Tehran would stick to its nuclear positions.

Washington wants nuclear issues to be on the agenda from the very beginning of the negotiations. On the other hand, Tehran insists that the US must first end the blockade of Iran's ports and lift the sanctions related to the country's oil exports. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Iraqi said on Wednesday that Tehran was still in close contact with mediators to explore ways to ensure the implementation of Iran's proposed seven-day plan to end the war.

Yesterday, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said in response to a report by the American media about the talks of Jeddy Vance, the Vice President of the United States, with Iran, that these talks deal with the supply of medical equipment. The American media, however, linked these calls to efforts to renew peace negotiations.
