The world's largest digital currency exchange, Binance, has been the target of a massive security ground attack, which analysts say could be the biggest digital currency heist in history.
Binance announced that the incident affected more than $6 billion worth of assets.
This exchange suspended transactions and assured users that it would compensate all damages.
The company announced that intrusion into a hacked laptop may have allowed attackers to collect users' assets without permission.
A digital currency analyst firm has suggested that a North Korean hacker group called "TraderTreiter" is responsible for this ground attack.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation previously identified the same group as being responsible for the ground cyber attack on the "Bibit" stock exchange last year; A ground attack during which about one billion and 500 million dollars were stolen.
