A prominent Republican senator has called for armed militias of opponents of the Iranian government.
Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz expressed his displeasure at a meeting in Michigan that Donald Trump has not yet agreed to send weapons to the Salami Republic opposition.
Senator Cruz, speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition meeting on Wednesday, announced his support for the continuation of the naval blockade of Iran, stressing that arming the opposition could be a way to end the Iranian crisis through the collapse of the government.
According to Mr. Cruz, in his meeting with Mr. Trump on Tuesday, he emphasized the need to arm opponents of the Iranian government, but did not discuss Mr. Trump's response.
According to him, Donald Trump wants to end the Iran issue, but so far this goal has not been achieved.
