Mohammad Bakr Ghalibaf, the speaker of the Iranian parliament, says that his country has repeatedly told the mediators the conditions for reaching an agreement with the United States.
Mr. Halibaf said in a message published on his channel X account that the only way to reach an agreement is to accept Iran's seven conditions from Washington.
He also said that Iran will not retreat from its positions with a "carrot and stick policy". The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament is referring to the US Vice President's recent letter to the Chairman of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, which, according to US officials, contains proposals to renew negotiations and create facilities for the import of some essential items, including medicines, to Iran.
The letter of J. De Vance was written amid reports of a possible ground attack on Iran after the US midterm elections.
In the past, Donald Trump, the president of the United States, spoke about the possibility of a limited ground attack on Iran after the election.
