According to the latest UN report on "Women, Peace and Security", every day at least 25 women and girls are killed in conflict zones.
This report gives a shocking picture indicating that one in four civilians who died in militant armed conflicts last year was a woman or girl.
In 2025, nearly 756 million women and girls lived within a 50-kilometer radius of areas where militant armed conflict occurred.
However, according to UN officials, women still do not have enough presence and participation in the peace negotiations that shape their future.
