The photos posted on social media show the effects of oil pollution and other pollution caused by the sinking of commercial ships in the waters of the Persian Gulf.
In recent days, there have been various reports of oil tankers and tankers being targeted in the Strait of Hormuz, but the BBC has not been able to independently confirm the exact source of these infections.
Field reports in the Iranian media report the observation of oil pollution in parts of the coasts of Bandar Abbas, Minab, Sirik and Jasak and the islands of Kesham, Hangam and Shidor.
Samad Hamzahai, head of the Hormozgan Center for Oceanography and the governor's environmental adviser, told the IRNA news agency about these contaminations: "Dense globules of oil were observed on the beaches of Soro and Golshahr in Bandar Abbas, and the contamination also reached the mouth of the shrimp breeding channels of the Sirikaza, Sarikaza and Sirikz coastal channels. Keshem Island was also contaminated, and the cleanup operation is underway with the participation of executive bodies and local communities in these areas."
