🔻 Hemmati: The annual growth of liquidity has decreased.
Abdulnaser Hammati, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, said that the annual growth of liquidity in October reached 50.9% with a decrease of 0.7 percentage point compared to September.
Liquidity includes cash and bank deposits, and its rapid growth, especially when it is not accompanied by an increase in production, can make goods and services more expensive and reduce people's purchasing power.
The decrease in annual growth does not mean that the volume of liquidity decreased, but it shows that its amount increased at a slower rate compared to last year.
According to Mr Hemati, liquidity rose a total of 24% in the first seven months of 1405 and its growth was only 2.7% in October.
However, the statistics published by the central bank show that the monthly increase in liquidity increased from 1.3% in September to 2.7% in October and more than doubled.
