The President of Russia says that Elon Musk is a "real genius". He said he had a "close relationship" with Mr Musk about satellite technologies.
Vladimir Putin made these statements during the Russia-Africa Summit in Moscow. In this meeting he talked about the Russian satellite internet project called "Rasut". A project that allows people to connect to the Internet via satellites.
"Starlink" is part of Mr. Musk's company SpaceX.
The company did not respond to the BBC's request for comment.
The Russian president also said that it is important for Russia to maintain communication with Elon Musk so that the "Rasot" and "Starlink" satellites in Earth orbit do not "disrupt" each other's activities.
He said: "Both of us and our American partners appreciate this cooperation and we are working hard despite all the differences and political issues."
