The Iranian embassy in Kuwait rejected the involvement of an Iranian citizen in the assassination plan of this country's officials.
The Iranian embassy in Kuwait has "firmly" rejected the role of an Iranian citizen in character assassination and any action against Kuwait's national security.
A court in Kuwait recently sentenced three people to death after a trial on charges of spying for Hezbollah in Lebanon and plotting the assassination of senior figures and officials in that country.
Eight people were sentenced to five years in prison in this case.
One of the convicts is an Iranian citizen.
The Iranian embassy said: "Such baseless accusations against Iranian citizens are against the principle of good neighborliness."
Relations between Kuwait and Iran became strained after the start of the last war.
