A former Netanyahu supporter says it is "unbelievable" that the right still wants him.
Flor Hasan-Nahum, former deputy mayor of Jerusalem and trade envoy, who previously supported Binyamin Netanyahu, joined a split right-wing party called "Emka Israel" on the eve of these elections.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4, he referred to the "October 7 disaster" and said it was "unbelievable" that "after all these years", there is still "so much support for Netanyahu".
Mrs. Hassan-Nahum said that the 'Emka Israel' party tried to create an alternative to the right wing of Israeli POW politics, but it does not seem like it will be able to enter the Knesset, Israel's parliament.
According to him, "There is still a lot of support for Netanyahu. I'm not sure if it's from love or fear, or maybe a combination of both; What will happen without him? This is our current situation."
