The party leader of the Change Bloc coalition called for an alliance with Arab-led parties.

Yair Golan, leader of the left-wing "Democrats" party, which is part of the "Change Bloc" coalition led by Gadi Eisenkot, called for the establishment of a government that includes parties led by Arabs.

Before the elections, Mr. Golan was the only party leader in this bloc who announced that he was ready to cooperate with the "Joint List" and the "United Arab List".

Gadi Eisenkot and other party leaders said that they would not cooperate with the Arab-led parties, due to the lack of common values.

With over 70% of the votes counted and due to the high participation of Arab voters living in Israel's captivity, it is expected that the joint list and the united Arab list will win a total of 18 mandates. According to the forecasts, neither the Eisenkot bloc nor the Netanyahu bloc will achieve the quorum of 61 mandates to form a government. Mr. Golan, a former champion with left leanings, claimed on the X social network that "Netanyahu lost the elections"; However, the current vote count statistics show Netanyahu's bloc ahead of the opposition bloc.

Mr. Golan said: "Anyone who tries to ignore the voices of the Arab citizens has actually surrendered to Netanyahu and given up prisoners."

He added: "We have an opportunity to form a government that will bring about change with the participation of the captive Arab citizens of Israel; a government that serves all the captive citizens of Israel... We must put aside the fear and act."
