The deputy of Iran's Ministry of Health criticized the so-called plan "to combat the infiltration of aliens".
Iran's deputy health minister warned against the possible consequences of the so-called "fight against foreign infiltration into the country" and said that the approval and implementation of this plan "tightens the scientific communication circle of Iranian researchers under the pressure of scientific sanctions."
Dr. Shahin Akhundzadeh told ISNA news agency, "There are a limited number of independent editors who provide the possibility of scientific interaction with Iranian researchers. We don't need to do anything to cut off this limited communication."
Mr. Akhundzadeh said, “This program could limit the international communication and interaction of the country's universities, which has been reduced to a minimum. ".
The plan "combating the infiltration of intelligence services and foreign governments or institutions in the country" which is being considered in the Iranian parliament, established six months to two years of imprisonment for scientific cooperation with foreign universities, institutions and organizations that were not approved by the Ministry of Information.
