On the eve of the mid-term congressional elections, US President Donald Trump praised the country's economic performance, which has increased incomes, reduced inflation and created jobs.
Trump said repeatedly: "We have the most prosperous country in the world."
Although the general state of the American economy after the implementation of extensive tariffs known as "Liberation Day" by Trump in 2025 was higher than expected by many critics, there is evidence that these import tariffs and the consequences of the American war and captivity with Iran increased inflation and its harmful effects were felt by most American households.
The investment boom in artificial intelligence is also helping the American economy, and if these costs stop, the economy could decline.
