A statement from Pakistan's military said Field Marshal Asim Munir was in Tehran "on an official visit".

The statement was released without further explanation.

This is the sixth official visit of Pakistan's Commander-in-Chief to Tehran since the start of the ceasefire. His previous trip was on October 20.

The Saudi Defense Minister and the head of the Turkish Intelligence and Security Organization together with Asim Munir will hold a meeting in Tehran today.
