The senior Iranian confirmed the visit of the senior officials of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan to Tehran.

Ali Bagri, deputy secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, confirmed that Saudi Arabia's Defense Minister Khaled bin Salman, Pakistan's army chief, Asim Munir, and the head of Turkey's intelligence organization, Ibrahim Kalin, are to travel to Tehran and participate in a joint meeting with Iranian officials.

Mr. Bagri said in an interview with the Sedavasima news agency that Asim Munir previously announced the decision of the top officials of these three countries to travel to Tehran and hold a joint meeting in a meeting with Mohsen Razai, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.

He also said Iran and those three countries could use what he called "the successful experience of the Islamic Republic of Iran in building national security" during the last war and cooperate to create "regional endogenous security." Earlier, the Reuters news agency reported, citing two knowledgeable sources, that senior officials of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, the three member states of the "Makkah alliance", are to discuss regional coordination in Tehran on Monday, October 26.

This trip is planned in the context of Yemen's Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia. Officials in the three member states of the Mecca Treaty reached an agreement in early October at an emergency meeting in Riyadh for the "rapid deployment" of military forces and capabilities in Saudi Arabia.
