Britain's Defense Secretary: We must prepare for the possibility of war within a thousand days.
Britain's defense minister has warned that his country has about a thousand days to prepare for a possible war with its enemies.
Wes Streeting told the British newspaper "Telegraph": "The desire of enemies to harm us is nothing new. What has changed is their ability. By 2030, the strength of their forces and their war economy can put them in a ground attack position."
Mr Streeting added that on this assessment, Britain has just over a thousand days to prepare with its allies to "win" the war.
Referring to a possible Russian ground attack, he said: "To avoid the worst case, we must be prepared."
The British government launched the "Be Prepared" campaign, which recommends that people keep drinking water, storable food such as canned goods, blankets and radios at home in order to be prepared in case of a cyber ground attack or severe weather changes and infrastructure disruption.
