The British Prime Minister did not rule out the possibility of returning to the liberalization of trade relations with the European Union.

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham did not rule out the possibility that the country will return to the release regulations for the movement of citizens between the UK and EU countries.

According to the "Sunday Times" newspaper, Mr. Burnham said in an interview with this newspaper that the nature of immigration to Britain has changed after the country's exit from the European Union, Brexit, and more immigrants are settling in Britain permanently instead of returning to their countries.

He said: "I think we need to have a very realistic and evidence-based discussion about this issue."

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom made it clear that the opposition to return to the regulations on the release of traffic will not be his government's red line in the future negotiations with the European Union.

Freedom of movement regulations allow citizens of EU member states to live and work in other countries without the need to obtain work visas. The UK left this system after Brexit. Mr. Burnam's statements come as his government explores options for expanding relations with the European Union; including the possibility of returning to the European single market or even rejoining this union.
