Three explosions were heard in Riyadh; Saudi report on the interception of Houthi missiles.
AFP reported that three explosions were heard on the morning of Sunday, October 25, in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
According to the correspondent of this news agency in Riyadh, before the explosions were heard, residents of the city received warning messages about a "hostile aerial threat" asking them to take shelter in a safe place.
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led military coalition announced that the country's air defense intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis in Yemen towards Riyadh.
It is still unclear whether the reported sound of explosions was caused by the interception of this missile or not. Also, no reports of possible damages and casualties have been published.
These developments are at a time when the Houthis in Yemen have increased their attacks on Saudi airports and oil facilities in recent days and have warned that they will continue these attacks.
