Obama criticizes Trump: we prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons through diplomacy, without firing a single missile.

Barack Obama, the former president of the United States, in his election speech in the state of Ohio, sharply criticized Donald Trump's decision to start a war with Iran and said that his administration succeeded in preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons without firing a single missile through the nuclear agreement.

On Saturday in Cleveland, Mr. Obama said: "Iran did not have a nuclear weapon, because I established an agreement that everyone admitted would prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon." I didn't even have to fire a missile for it; I just had to use diplomacy."

Referring to Trump's withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal and the start of the war against Iran, he said: "He left the deal and started this war. It has now been seven months and six months have passed since they declared their victory. How is the war progressing? The former US president added: "Our allies and our bases were targeted in a ground attack, Americans were killed, hundreds of Americans were injured and our missile reserves were reduced."

Mr. Obama also said that Iran actually has "veto power" over the passage of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, and saw this situation as the reason for the increase in the price of oil, diesel and other goods in America.

In another part of his speech, he also criticized Pete Guest, the US Secretary of Defense, accusing the Trump administration of focusing on small issues instead of seriously addressing the country's problems.

This speech was held as part of the Democratic Party's election campaign, on the eve of the midterm elections on November 3 in the United States.
