Glibaf canceled his trip to India to attend the BRICS parliamentary meeting.

Iran's embassy in Delhi announced that Mohammad Bakr Ghalibaf, chairman of the Salami Council, will not be able to attend the 12th meeting of BRICS member states' speakers in India due to "some unforeseen circumstances".

The embassy announced on Saturday, October 24, in a statement on Channel X, that despite the cancellation of Mr. Halibaf's trip, the Iranian parliamentary delegation will participate in a meeting to be held on October 26 and 27 in Delhi.

The Iranian embassy did not explain more about the nature of the circumstances that prevented the Speaker of the Parliament from traveling.

The statement also emphasized Iran's commitment to active participation in the BRICS meetings and stated that the Iranian delegation will continue to talk and consult with the representatives of the member states to expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation, especially in the field of parliamentary relations.

The Iranian Embassy also thanked the Government of India for hosting this meeting.
