Tens of thousands of people took to the streets today, October 24, in various French cities to participate in protest demonstrations.
These interceptions were mostly peaceful, but in some cities there were clashes between protesters and the police.
Police used tear gas in cities including Lyon and Marseille. In Bordeaux, people were seen removing the protective panels of a shop and setting up street barriers with them.
The Minister of the Interior of France previously announced that today 135 people were arrested throughout the country. The police also said that they seized a number of weapons and gas masks in Paris.
Today's marches are taking place while last week's protests were accompanied by rioting and looting and led to the arrest of more than 2,700 people.
