Trump: We may carry out another military operation against Iran.
US President Donald Trump said that Washington may carry out another military operation against Iran. These statements are made after almost eight months have passed since the start of the war between America and Israel and the rise in fuel prices cast a shadow over the mid-term elections in the United States.
Mr. Trump said on Friday, Oct. 23, at a campaign rally in Florida: "We might do another little Hamas rage-type operation, or they might make a deal."
He added: "If they are smart, they will simply say let's enter into serious negotiations." But I doubt if they will do such a thing, because they might not be very smart."
"Operation Rage Hamas" is the name used by the US military for the war against Iran. In this speech, Trump again defended America's withdrawal from the nuclear deal during his presidency and claimed that America destroyed Iran's nuclear enrichment capability with Operation "Midnight Hammer" and then repelled further strikes against that country with Operation "Hamas' Rage."
He also said that America had dealt a heavy blow to Iran and claimed that Iran's economy is now in one of the worst situations in the world.
The US president said earlier on Friday that the US could end the war with Iran quickly, but raised the question of whether Washington should seek a quick end to the war or allow the conflict to gradually dissipate.
Mr. Trump, who has presented different goals and timetables for an end many times during the war, announced in early October that the United States would not launch another ground attack on Iran until the Nov. 3 midterm congressional elections.
