Saudi Arabia's Statistics Center announced on Friday that the meeting of the United Nations World Data Forum and the Second Statistical Forum of this country, which were previously scheduled to be held in Riyadh from November 9 to 12, 2026, has been postponed to 2027.
This action followed Saudi Arabia's decision on Monday to postpone the country's most important investment conference to 2027; The decision was made after the deadly attacks by the Houthis in Yemen in recent weeks and disruptions in business activity.
The "Future Investment Initiative" conference was supposed to take place in Israel between October 26 and 29.
Several other major events in Saudi Arabia, including a tennis tournament and a stage of the World Rally Championship in the country, were canceled or postponed following the escalation of attacks by the Houthis in Yemen. The war between America and Israel's captives with Iran this year disrupted the calendar of events in the Persian Gulf region and led to the cancellation, postponement or reorganization of several conferences in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
