The US Department of Defense and Lockheed Martin announced a 10-year agreement to produce 850 stealthy and advanced F-35 fighter jets.

The monetary value of this agreement has not been disclosed. This agreement comes as the Pentagon tries to expand US weapons production and strengthen the country's defense industrial base by closing multi-year contracts.

The CEO of Lockheed Martin, speaking to investors, said that this agreement "establishes the position of this aircraft as the main fighter jet of the free world for years to come".

During the war with Iran, America and Israel's captives used F-35s in their operations. This fighter plane has three different versions and the price of each plane can reach more than 100 million dollars.
