Iran's army commander: We prepared ourselves for an unbalanced war.
The commander of the Iranian army said that Iran is ready for an "asymmetrical war and the equipment required for it".
In an unbalanced war, the parties involved are not in the same situation in terms of military power, equipment, financial resources or technology, but the weaker side uses different and non-classical methods of war to compensate.
The head of the army division Amir Hatami said that "in the previous uneven war we fought the enemy with equipment that surprised the enemy because he received very strong blows. "We assessed the enemy and we know he has significant capabilities, but considering all these things, we prepared ourselves for an unbalanced war and the equipment it requires."
The "Tasnim" news agency reported that the commander of the Iranian army said this "during a visit to one of the military's combat-attack drone production centers." Mr. Hatami said about Iran's restrictions on the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, "For the implementation of these regulations, various equipment is used, including naval mines and some of the automatic control systems."
The commander of the Iranian army said, "Our emphasis is always that different countries understand the conditions placed by American criminals and to be in full coordination with the militant armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to prevent harm to themselves."
Both Iran and the United States have consistently said they control the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
