The meeting of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, France and Germany on regional conflicts in Istanbul.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Piden will host his counterparts from Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France and Germany in Istanbul on Friday to discuss regional conflicts.

A Turkish diplomatic official announced this news in an interview with Reuters.

According to this source, these seven countries will meet for the first time in such a format at the initiative of Turkey.

Wars related to Iran, Yemen and Ukraine and concern about the state of shipping lanes and the security of the region are among the reasons for holding this meeting.

This source said that the foreign ministers of these seven countries are expected to discuss the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, the latest developments in the Strait of Hormuz, the situation in Yemen, efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and opportunities to expand cooperation between the countries of the region and Europe. According to this source, Mr. Piden is expected to emphasize the necessity of finding a diplomatic solution to the US-Iran war and the importance of freeing shipping in the Straits of Hormuz and Belmandav.

Mr. Piden reiterated Turkey's support for Saudi Arabia's security against Yemen's Houthi attacks.

This diplomatic source also said that Turkey's foreign minister will also tell his colleagues that Ankara tried to prevent the spread of the war in Ukraine to the Black Sea and will point out the dangers of this conflict to the security of the region.

In recent months, although Turkey did not enter the negotiations between Iran and the US as the main mediator, it played a prominent role in starting diplomatic processes to end the 12-40-day war.
