🔻 Spokesman of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs; The security warning is only related to Saudi Arabia and related to the Houthi attacks.

An hour after the publication of the reports according to which "the United States is preparing to order the departure of its embassies from the Middle East", the spokesperson of the United States Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified, while denying these reports, that the warning that was distributed was for American employees stationed in Saudi Arabia.

Tommy Pigott, a spokesman for the US State Department, wrote on Wednesday evening on the X social network: "This report is inaccurate. The US State Department only ordered the departure of non-essential US government employees and their family members from Saudi Arabia.

A spokesperson for the US State Department explained the reason for issuing this withdrawal order as follows: "Houthis supported by Iran have increasingly participated in hostile actions against Saudi Arabia. These operations include ground attacks on civilian airports and other critical infrastructure, which have led to the killing and injury of civilians and serious travel disruptions."

As we reported here an hour ago, Reuters reported, citing unnamed American officials, that the United States may soon issue an order to withdraw employees of its diplomatic centers in the region, including in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar.
