Britain's King Charles III praised Oman's King Haitham bin Tariq al-Said for his peace efforts and "keeping the Strait of Hormuz open" at a lavish dinner held at Windsor Castle.
He also highlighted Oman's mediation in diplomatic negotiations related to the US and Israel's captive war with Iran during the meal, which included pheasant meat, and praised Muscat's efforts to find "common ground" between the conflicting parties.
In response, the Sultan of Oman said that his country is "looking for solutions" and added: "We believe in Seidogo."
Oman is one of Britain's most important partners in the Middle East. The British King welcomed the Sultan of Oman in Arabic.
This trip was held in the sensitive conditions of the region and Oman, which is on the other side of the strategic Strait of Hormuz, is a neighbor of Iran.
Today, Wednesday, the Sultan of Oman will visit the British Prime Minister's office in central London to meet with Andy Burnham. The two leaders are expected to sign an agreement to "accelerate mutual investments" between Oman and Britain.
