Hezbollah Lebanon on Tuesday, despite the American and Lebanese sanctions against this militant group, announced a plan to help Lebanese who lost their homes in the war with Israeli prisoners.

The aid ceiling of this program was set at $14,000 per family.

According to the AFP news agency, at a press conference in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the head of Hezbollah's executive council, Ali Otfoosh, announced the allocation of $14,000 per household to residents of Beirut and its southern suburbs, and $12,000 to residents of other areas.

Otpush stated that these grants will be given to displaced persons whose homes are destroyed or uninhabitable as well as to residents of areas occupied by POWs in the south of the country, provided that the recipients do not have a second home.

Reuters reported last week that "$200 million" was sent from Tehran to Lebanon's Hezbollah to help Lebanese displaced during the war with Israel.
