China Expressing Serious Concern Over Continued Attacks on Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Airport The Chinese Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks on Riyadh International Airport on Monday.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning told reporters in Beijing on Monday that the Chinese government expresses its "serious concern" over the escalation of the conflicts. The attacks at the Riyadh airport continued on Sunday. Saudi officials said one person was killed and 11 wounded in a Houthi attack on the main international airport of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on Sunday. This is the third deadly attack at this airport in the last four days.
13 people were killed in the attack on Saturday. Almost all flights at this airport have been cancelled. Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis have warned airlines and passengers against using Saudi Arabia's airspace. The Houthis also announced that they had attacked the Dammam airport in eastern Saudi Arabia and the country's oil facilities. The spokesman of the Saudi-led coalition said that the forces of this coalition intercepted and destroyed several Houthi drones and missiles in different parts of the country. The US Federal Aviation Administration also advised US airlines to exercise caution when flying to Saudi Arabia or crossing the country's airspace.
