Iraqi Abbas, the foreign minister of Iran, announced in a telephone conversation with Faisal bin Farhan, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, about Tehran's willingness to help facilitate the dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

This is the first reported contact between the foreign ministers of the two countries since the Houthi attacks in Yemen escalated on Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis have attacked Saudi Arabia several times in the past week. In the ground attack on Riyadh International Airport on Saturday, 13 people were killed and more than 300 people were injured. It was the deadliest ground attack in Saudi Arabia in more than a decade.
