Following the deadly October 10 (October 18) ground attack on Riyadh International Airport, which killed 12 people, Yemen's Houthis warned against using Saudi Arabia's airports.

Saturday's ground attack, the deadliest ground attack on Saudi Arabian soil in more than a decade, hit one of the airport's gates, where all flights are now grounded.

Several countries warned of the dangerous escalation of the situation and, while expressing solidarity with Saudi Arabia, demanded that the Yemeni group stop ground attacks on civilian targets.

Following these attacks, the Houthis warned offices and airlines as well as passengers not to use Saudi Arabia's airports. Although the Houthi statement does not directly mention the ground attack on Saturday, October 10, this group has previously claimed responsibility for separate ground attacks on Thursday, October 7, on the Riyadh airport. President Trump has announced that the US may now join the Saudi military operation.
