Earlier, the police arrested Abjit Deepka, who entered the Indian capital by plane to participate in the march.

Tens of thousands of security forces and police were deployed in Delhi and traffic in the capital was disrupted.

"Jock" is a movement that represents the unemployed and the poor and its leader said that today's march will take place "at any cost".

He also wrote in X's message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi: "If you want to imprison us or even shoot us, we are ready."
