Guterres condemned the Houthis ground attack on Riyadh airport
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned the deadly Houthi ground attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
He wrote on Channel X that he is "deeply shocked" by this ground attack, which, according to the Saudi authorities, left 12 dead and hundreds wounded.
Guterres said: "A ground attack on civilians and civilian infrastructure is a violation of international law" and added that these attacks must be stopped immediately.
This is the third ground attack by the Iran-backed Houthis on Saudi Arabia's international airport during the group's escalation of attacks against the country since the summer.
The military coalition led by Saudi Arabia also said that it will respond to this ground attack.
