Trump appointed Katie Bailey as director of the Office of Legislative Affairs at the White House
United States President Donald Trump has announced that he has appointed Katie Bailey as director of the Office of Legislative Affairs.
Mr. Trump wrote in Social Truth that Bailey is currently the deputy director of legislative affairs in the Senate and was involved in the confirmation process of several members of his cabinet.
According to Mr. Trump, Bailey previously worked in the US Congress and knows the way the executive branch and the legislative branch work together.
He succeeds James Breed, who according to Donald Trump is leaving the government after a long time in that role to work in the private sector.
Mr. Trump also said he expects Bailey to work closely with Congress and try to pass the bills the administration wants.
