Yukimato: An oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz was targeted by unidentified missiles

Britain's Maritime Trade Operations Center Yukimato says it has received a report that an oil tanker leaving the Strait of Hormuz was hit by an unidentified missile on the port side of the ship's hull, resulting in a fire on board.

According to Yukimato, the ship's crew is safe. The amount of damage caused to the oil tanker and the possible environmental consequences of this incident are still unknown.

Yukimato said earlier that several ship captains near Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates had been ordered to leave their anchorage via radio communication. In this warning, the agency did not provide further explanation about the reason for this order or its origin.
