Trump: Ukraine needs to elect a new president to end the war with Russia

Donald Trump, the president of the United States of America, demands that Ukraine elect a new president who will end the war with Russia.

He accused Volodymyr Zelensky of deliberately prolonging the war and ignoring the American demand to stop the ground attack on the Russian refineries.

Trump's comments came after Mr Zelensky criticized the US decision to suspend sanctions on Russian diesel exports.

The president of Ukraine described this decision as "a weak act and a gift to Vladimir Putin".

Ukraine's European partners agreed with these statements.

Mr. Trump said this agreement would lower the price of diesel; which has grown significantly since the beginning of the war with Iran.
