The Minister of Education of Iran: The activities of the schools are determined according to the conditions of each region

In Iran, according to the authorities, school activities in the Hormuzgan district will be held in a combination of face-to-face and non-face-to-face according to the conditions of each region.

According to a report by Tasnim Alireza Kazmi, the Minister of Education, he said that the conditions of each area will be examined separately, and in areas that do not pose a threat to students and teaching staff, face-to-face education will be the top priority.

According to this report, the activities of the schools in the cities of Kashem, Sirik and Jesk will be a combination of virtual face-to-face education.

Determining days of student attendance at schools and days of non-attendance is the responsibility of the school principals. Also, decisions regarding the possible closing of schools are made according to the conditions of each region.

The Minister of Education also said: In areas facing security threats, the integrated education model and the ability of the safe spaces will be used to continue face-to-face communication between students and teachers. Based on this report, decisions will be made on how the schools operate with the participation of governors and supply boards, and the final model will be announced to the entire country in the coming days after the conclusion.

During the US attacks on Iran, many areas in Hormuzgan province were subjected to ground attacks. On the first day of the US and Israeli POW attacks on Iran, the Shajra Taiba school in Minab was hit by a missile, killing at least 168 civilians, most of them elementary school and preschool children.
