Iran announced that from now on "dealing with offending vessels will not be limited only to the Strait of Hormuz".
The commander of the navy of the Revolutionary Guards said in a statement: "Any vessel that crosses the unauthorized passage will be tracked throughout the area and punished."
Iran says that the ships should pass through the Strait of Hormuz on a route determined by this country.
According to reports, some ships and oil tankers are using an alternate route established in recent weeks to bypass the restrictions announced by Iran.
Iran has said it will not open the Strait of Hormuz as long as the US naval blockade against the country continues. But America says that this strait is open and even the amount of oil passing through it has increased compared to before the Iran war.
