In a new security alert, the US State Department demands that citizens of that country not travel to Iran for any reason and that Americans who are in Iran leave that country "right now."

In this warning, published on October 8, American citizens in the Middle East are also asked to exercise caution due to the "complex security conditions" and prepare for the possibility of flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions.

The US State Department also warned that the conditions for crossing Iran's land borders may change without prior notice, and passengers are asked to directly monitor the status of flights and activities at the airport.

This statement also mentions the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and states that these conflicts could escalate quickly.

The US State Department said Iran and Tehran-backed groups may target US interests or places linked to the US and American citizens in various parts of the world.
