The Yemeni government says 100 children have been killed in the latest war

The representative of Yemen's legitimate government at the United Nations says that at least 100 children have died in the past month amid the "continued escalation of conflicts" in that country.

At the UN Security Council meeting, Abdullah Ali Fazl al-Saadi accused the Houthis of "destroying all peace initiatives" and of damaging civilian areas such as schools and markets and causing the displacement of more than 200,000 people.

Mr. Al-Saadi stated that "the government recorded the death of more than 100 children in September alone" and added that the Houthi militias "continue to recruit children and send them to the front of the battle."

He also condemned the Houthis' recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, which killed three people. According to him, "These crimes once again reveal the true nature of the Houthi militia as an assassination group; a group that does not hesitate to target civilians and critical facilities to create confusion and divert minds from their lawlessness."
