30 thousand bottles of wine worth about 5 million euros were stolen from a luxury Italian winery.
According to the Italian media, Marchesi Antinori, one of the largest wine producers in Italy, owned by a famous family, announced that this theft took place last Saturday at the company's warehouse in the Tuscany region of Italy.
The company prepared shipments to be sent to customers outside Italy.
According to the reports, it is estimated that at least seven masked people disabled the alarm system and security cameras, and using forklifts belonging to this company, filled two large trucks with valuable red wines and fled the scene.
The CEO of this company said it was the biggest theft of its kind in Italy.
Officials in this company believe that the type of stolen wines indicates that the thieves were experts in the field of wine. The price of the stolen wines is between 150 and 500 euros per bottle. Decorative Image/Mark Hill/Bloomberg via Getty Images
