The US Treasury Department of Foreign Assets Control announced that it is targeting the remnants of Iran's "shadow fleet" based on the "economic isolation" policy. On Thursday, the US Treasury called 17 oil tankers linked to Iran's shadow fleet and imposed sanctions on them. America says these ships were responsible for transporting millions of barrels of Iranian crude oil, petroleum products and petrochemical products to various markets in South and East Asia. The US Treasury also removed from the sanctions list the two ships "Hakuna Matata" and "Pinocchio" that were sanctioned last summer. El Drago/Bloomberg via Getty Images
